At first I thought it looked horrible, then it started to grow on me, but now I think I can't get past the front end, dont like the headlights and there's too much chrome on the front end.

The 08's look horrible with the black grill unlike the 05-07's which look good with black or chrome. Guess I'll be driving my 05 for the next 10 years, then see what Ford has to offer at that time.

 

Yeah, the front end is not the greatest but, I like the new interior alot and the new rear end is also great. I also like alot of the added features and 6.4 engine!

 

Besides the pimped-out tailgate, what is different about the rear of the 2008 trucks?

 

The tailights are slghtly different, the bumper is different, and the tailgate is different!

Might get the new tailgate for my '05, but I think I'll keep my lights & bumper.

Do you think the tailgate on the 08 will be a direct swap to the 05-07 bodys...I would like to swap the 08 with our 06 to get the built in step for easier entry to the box. let me know if you do this.

 

Rumor is that the tailgate will fit with no problems.

While I'd like to have it, not sure I'll be first in line to try the swap.
