Value of a 2000 F-350

There's a 2000 F-350 Superduty Lariat 4x4 up for sale near my house and my father is somewhat interested in buying it. It's the extended cab shortbed model, and it has mounts for a fifth-wheel hitch in the bed. It has the 7.3L turbo diesel motor as well. Interior looks used, but not abused. Nothing torn or wrecked.

What would the appx value be for it? I looked up the bluebook, but would like to see what you would pay for it. It's a backyard sale, not at a dealer and no price was on the sign, so I take that as "make an offer".

Manual or auto trans
Manual or auto tcase
Dually or non
Miles
Has the coolant been taken care of
Does it have excessive blowby
Does it have the "marbles in a can sound" if its an auto trans
What condition is the air filter
Does it have or ever had a K&N air filter
Is there dirt or traces of dirt inside the intake tract
Are the turbo fins pitted or appear to be sandblasted
Does the turbo spin free and have minimal sideplay

Way too many variables to even give a half assed guess here.

Automatic transmission, standard T-case. Single rear wheels, but they were big-*** tires, almost looked like off-road treads.

Don't remember exactly, but it was around 100k. It was probably used for touring, since that house also has a 5th wheel in the yard.

I stopped to look at it in the yard, the owners probably wouldn't like it for me to pop the hood and start taking the intake apart to check for sand.

I'll see if I can maybe get a test drive to get a better feel.
