headlamps with remote entry

Hey all, just bought a 2006 f350 and was just wondering. Are all the trucks like this set up so the headlamps don't come on when you unlock the door with the remote. Mine dont, or do you have to program it somehow?

Good question.....if during the day and you have the lights on AUTO they won't come on. They should however come on at night when you "click-unlock"

or am I crazy?

Just checked mine in the garage to see if my theory held true...nope, they didn't come on.

So I was way off.

Why don't' you ask about "home link" while you are at it...then tell us why the F250's and 350's don't have it.

As much as we pay for these trucks its hard to believe that they don't come with home link. Crazy.

I'm still confused, ya need headlights to come on to find your truck? Can't say I've needed that even with two years in the big city.

YES I DO. Plus I like to know if anyone is near my truck, especially when my wife drives it by herself.

Ok, I see now. I could work on a timed relay circuit if you want to make one.
