Question ? about dash lights in an '06...

I just bought my '06 F250 Lariat Crew Cab Diesel, and finally had a chance to drive it at night. When the dash lights came on, I couldn't really see the fuel and oil gauge lettering, but I can see the red needles just fine. On the right side, I could sorta make out the lettering for both temp gauges, but it wasn't lit up very well, either. Are some of my dash lights out, or is this the way it's going to be?

I have a 150, and canb;t imagine the dash lights work too differently....have you tried adjusting the dimmer switch to max? Might seem obvious, but I think the needled guages might be brighter than the trip computer/odometer display.

CHIA, yeah, I tried that, even went up and down with it a few times, nothin'. The speedo and tach are all lit up like normal, the needles are glowing bright red, but I can't even see the lettering for the fuel and oil gauges. I've seen the lights in the '04 F150's, and they are pretty similar, my dad's got an '04 lariat, my brother's got an '05 FX4, and their lights work normally.
