First off, I've searched on this board but have come up empty.

Problem is, sometimes when I turn my truck on, my air conditioner and in-dash controls don't come on. The display is blank (like there's no power to it) and none of the buttons work. Obviously, the air isn't flowing, either. When this happens, I'll turn my truck off and on a few times and the a/c will finally come back to life.

I'm posting this because I don't think this is an isolated event. I have an '05 250 Lariat (45K miles) and my brother has an '06 250 King Ranch (10K miles). It's happened to both of our trucks several times in the past few weeks. Have any of y'all seen this before?

 

I have the samething happen on my 05KR SuperDuty.
Sometimes it does not come back on for sever starts.
It never goes on or off while driving if it is going to work
it does it at start up. I would have it looked at but I don't want to have to pull all my stuff off it.

 

My 06 King Ranch F350 does the same thing. I also had a 02 f150 Lariat that did the same thing.

 

They have digital displays for the HVAC??? Next truck is gonna be an XLT for sure...

Haven't heard of this before so I'd give the dealer a call.

I'm having the same problem with my 06 F-250 Diesel. Talked to a friend yesterday with the same truck as mine and he had it too. He took it to the dealer and they replaced the "head unit" under warranty. I was worried about the dealer being able to duplicate the problem. My friend said that he just told them what it was doing and they knew the problem. I'm planning on taking mine in soon.
