My Dad has a 2004 F250 with the plow prep package. The ride is, in a word: BRUTAL!!! He DEFINTELY wishes he DID NOT get the plow package. Hope this helps...

A diesel + plow springs = fine ride by me. Maybe the lighter gassers would ride harder though.

I know the snow plow package really tightens up the ride in the front and makes it bumper. If your ready for a truck ride like that take it, if not look for something else.

Also, where you in Pa. I know a dealer who will find a truck for you. Whatever you want.

I went from I think U code springs to the X code springs (plow package springs) 2 weekends ago. I can say that the front end has firmed up some, but overall the ride isn't really any worse. I supposed like mentioned if you're only running a 5.4L it might get rough, but if you have a diesel it'll ride just fine. My truck as well never has, or probably ever will see a plow. If you're anywhere in south central PA you can give my truck a spin and see how it feels. I'd never hesitate to get a SD with the plow package.
