Diesel Maintnence

Hi there, I was just wondering how much extra maintence late model F2/350's need compared to a regular gas engine. I heard they need alot, and they smell, but I think thats bs. So let me know if there's anything extra a diesel needs.

Thanks alot.

Diesels have there own smell, but I kinda like it...

Basicly the same maintnence, just the volume is bigger. Like 15 quart oil changes, 4 gallons of coolent, fuel and water seperator filter every other oil change. Not that bad actually.

As said 15 quarts vs 5 but the oil change interval for the D is almost twice as long. The new common rail 6.4 should be able to go 15k miles between changes. My buddy had 3 go to 350,000 strong with 10k miles between changes.
