new to this section

Hey people, been on this site for awhile but have traded in my 04 F-150 for an 06 F-250 turbo diesel 4by4. I love the truck and just wanted to say hey.
I was wondering what the good sites were for the F-250 as far as aftermarket parts. Is there a specific store such as www.f150store.com for the 250's? No mods so far, but loaded up my F-150 before trading it in.

Welcome Scott! I am in the same boat. I just sold my 2003 Lightning and bought a 2005 F-250 PSD 4x4. The diesel performance market is just now getting really big. Just in the last year, I have seen the market for parts finally see the lime-light. You might want to go down to your local magazine stand and get a copy of "Diesel Power" magazine. Also, "Truckin'" has a big section on diesel performance this month.

As far as websites go... I am sure that the moderator for this site would not appreciate me listing all of the other sites that you can go to. But, I can tell you that there are not many. I'll send you a PM on this.

Best of luck in your search for parts! And remember, always post pictures of what's new! We love to OOGGLE at other people's rides around here! - Jake

Howdy and welcome to the diesel club! Be prepared to spend waaaaaaaaaaaay more on your superduty than the itty bitty one fiddys. Much cooler!

Your gonna want to check out these forums

www.thedieselgarage.com
www.oilburners.net
www.thedieselstop.com

I buy stuff from
www.dieselinnovations.com

Did you get the mighty six speed handshaker or the torqshift slushbox?

HEY... What's going on here. I just did the same thing!!
I was on my way here to say hi and there are newbies here already

I just said goodbye to the boys in the F150 forum. It's a zoo over there. You guy's don't seem to do much over here

I traded my F150 (in my sig) for this..

06 F250 PSD Lariat FX4 Screw
True Blue/Silver
Bench seats
3.73 LS
18's
Polished chrome steps
Shift on the fly
Power slider
Rear stabalizer
Upfitter switches
Stabilizer package
Trailer tow package
Trailer tow/heated mirrors
Trailer brake controller

Can someone sum up all I need to know about diesels...I'm green.
And how about all the quirks and problems I should look out for...my F150 had them all, but I still loved the truck

For the PSD I've heard about non starting issues...turbo problems and rear main seal troubles.
I hope I get a gem this time...her birthday is about 4 weeks away.

Alright!

Thanks for the welcome and the info guys. I do recognize some of you from the f-150 section.
I have the 5 speed torqshift adrianspeeder and am very happy with the power, coming from the smaller 8 cylinder from the F-150. I'm looking forward to doing some mods and will get some pics up when things settle down.

I love my 7.3L to the point of obsession, and even though I didn't like it initally, my 4R100 auto tranny has been trouble free. (still would like a 7.3L six speed though)

I don't know the 6.0L indepth like the 7.3L, so just join and read through the above sites for more details. And get that Visa card warmed up...
