Wiring amps to battery?

I will be installing my stereo system and CB in the morning (Sat.) and I have a stupid question. I have never had a duel battery system nor a diesel before. When I run my hot wires for the amps and the CB hot/neg directly to the battery, can I just hook to one of the batteries or do I have to go find a 12 volt hot spot and not hook directly to one of the batteries....

You can run directly from the battery, but remember to put an appropriate in-line fuse in the circuit.

Thanks, yeah the inline fuses are just inches from the battery terminal. I had this system in my F150 wired directly to the battery. Am I to assume hooking to just one battery in the duel system is the same as a single 12 volt battery?

Yes, imagine it as one big 12volt battery just seperated into two parts. If you follow the wires across the rad, you will see that the two are directly connected positive for positive and ground for ground. 12volts everywhere.
