Can we run a remote starter for our diesels, or not because we must preheat ????

Of course you can. If you're in a climate or time of year where you need to delay the start, you set it to delay. The Ford system is either instant or 30 second delay. Many aftermarket systems give you more flexibility.

Oh, and a remote start on a diesel is a must have in my book (since having one)
