hi, we have an 02 350 dually 4x4 7.3 psd thats been acting up. it seems when its fairly cold it will stall when accelerating. and then it will not start for several minutes. once it restarts, u can rev it jus fine in neutral, but once u put in gear and go it will do it again sometimes.

we are taking it down to the dealership on Mon, but we are having problems with the warranty any idead would be appreciated.

I am posting so you know you are not being ignored. The symptoms do not sound like the typical CMP, or fuel filter symptoms. Fuel pump maybe but the trans in gear only has me stumped. I would want to check for any codes, and hopefully that will give a clue. Sorry I am not much help.

 

when is the last time you had the fuel filter changed?also since you stated it does it when its cold you might want to drain the water from the fuel seperator if your truck has one. it could be freezing up...i had a simmilar problem last month when it got -28 around here..the fuel in the tank will jell if you dont use diesel fuel conditioner..mine did because i did'nt! hope this helps...zap!
