Post Dealing on A-Plan?

I have found a 2004 F250 with a V10 on a lot. The dealer has had it there for over 200 days.

Is there any way to deal with them, in addition to the A-Plan price?

Any comments would be appreciated.

No.
Unless you have a trade in, then you can deal on the trade in.

The dealer can't get the truck for the price you can, and Ford gives them money for selling the car. You can sometimes get them to throw in extras (floor mats, loaner cars, etc...), but that's about it.

I will let you know.

I turned that sucker in on Friday, got my check, and now I am just waiting for them to pay off my other loan.

I want to be free and clear prior to buying a new truck.

I am currently driving my 84 SVO.

Not the A/Z plan price, it is set by Ford, it's listed right on the invoice. As mentioned above, they'll try to knick you on the trade in. Good luck!

Actually your'e right, even in the case of "Plan" pricing. That is dealers that don't mind the legal and financial implications they "are" facing as Ford is cracking down on them. Several dealers in the DFW area are very familiar with the wrath of Ford for "dealing" abusing Plan pricing.

The ones that want to stay in business are following the Plan pricing guidliness and just trying to screw you on your trade.

Dealers don't have to sell vehicles on A-Plan. They can always so no - but they're stupid if they do! Ford pays them their profit margin. Unless it's a very desired car (the T-birds when they were reintroduced, Cobras back in the early-mid 90s, Ls when they first came out), they dealer will typically agree to the A-plan sale - after all, it's typically an easy sell (read: easy commission).

When I bought my truck, the dealer did a 3 way trade to get my truck to his lot. When I bought my wife's Taurus, the dealer traded another dealer a SD, AND delivered the car to us (an hour away from his lot). And I bought both on A-Plan!
