Thanks,
that's what I was leaning towards doing myself... Either that or a bit of Perma-Tex thread sealer just on the top end...

Les

PS - STILL waiting for gauge pod!!!

Do as cphilip says. Just a lil tape works. It will leak without it. Careful to not over tighten it too. It will break off.

Les,

The paint I found at Pep Boys was a generic interior paint. It's not a perfect match, but close enough that only I know the difference.

Thanks Stan,

I'll check over at Pep Boys and see what they have... My truck has denim blus cloth interior and the matching two colors of blue plastic... I have already checked at NAPA, and a few other shops but can only find the generic Dupli Color type paint... It isn't bad but isn't real close either... I'll check Pep Boys and see what they have too...

In the meantime, I received my gauge pod but it's too "durn" cold in the garage to work on the truck (we had 13 below last night) so I'll have to wait until the weather gets a bit warmer... The 13.5 inches of snow Monday plus 4 inches that fell last night is slowing me down a bit too... Too much snow blowing and coming home late from work to get anything else done...

Thanks again,

Best Regards,
Les

I also installed Pillar temp gauge, but to match the tan color, I went to my local Ford dealer and talked to the guys in the shop. They were kind enough to give me a left over can of spray paint to match exactly with my color code. It's worth a try.
Good luck!

My paint for the a-pillar also came from the Ford place. Use the same paint code as your interior color. (isn't the code posted on the door somewhere???) I think the can is about $12 (Ford is obviously very proud of this stuff to charge so much) I also painted my tweeters (speakers) so they matched too.
