V10 Engine Rattle from top of engine

V10 Engine Rattle from top of engine
Please advise if anybody else has experienced this.
Mt 6.8 has a rattle sound that sounds like a bad water pump that appears to be coming from the top of the engine and somewhat tward the rear. It can be heard from idle to about 1400 rpm, but does not change when the rpm changes. It can be heard from inside the cab or under the hood, but not so well from under the truck. Seams more noticable when the truck has warmed up.
I know it is not piston slap - different symptoms and sound.
Any Ideas?
