Question Lund bug screen ?

Has anyone tried or is using a Lund bug screen? Lund makes a screen that fits behind the grill and keeps bugs out of the radiator. It looks and sounds like a good idea.

Thanks for your input!

Joe

The billet grille will keep BIG bugs out of the grille! As for the little ones, I just wash em off. The Lund product is an insert if I'm not mistaken...don't think it would be compatible with a billet grille.

I've got one. My first thought was that it looked kind of cheezy in the box. I think the truck looks better with it on though. This is the one that fills up all the holes in the grill. I think Lund calls it a "screen front". I put it on because I've lost 2 windshields to rocks in the last year. I REALLY didn't want to take a golf-ball sized rock through the radiator.

I just heard that Lund also makes a matching filler for the hole in the bumper. I'll get one of those if I can find it.

Cool

Don't mean to butt in here, but I have a set as well on my truck. They are plastic and like kd5hrm said, they fit inside the original grill holes. The truck has never gotten any hotter than normal and it looks good. I have been looking at their new grill inserts, exactly like these but are stainless steel. They are about $130 CDN for my truck. www.lundproducts.com and then go to grill covers.
