Towing "skirt" on a F250
Seems like all my topics end up on this towing subject somehow. This is a towing skirt that I put on my hitch to keep the gravel and mud off the trailer. Slips on over the tow bar and has a lock bolt to keep it secure. Can be adjusted for several widths. I have it set at 73 inches right now but I think it goes all the way out to 80 inches. Cost me $82.95.

I was thinking of something like that for my truck. I need one that bolts onto the frame or bumper without a gap for a trailer hitch to protect my 5th wheel.
BTW my 5th wheel rides a lot closer to the back of the truck than a travel trailer.

J-C, I have seen stone guards for 5th wheels. They are black heavy plastic sheets that attach to the face of the trailer. I think they screw on but not sure. Look like they would work better for your application. I could not find one that said it was specifically for a regular tow behind. I think they were about $150 for yours. They had an upper and a lower cut model as well. I have the catalog at home and I can look up the number of the place for you if you need it. It is a camper supply catalog but I can't remember their name. They also had this type of flap/brush that would screw to the rear bumper but I wanted to easily remove it when not in use so I went this way as it comes off when I take the tow bar off. LMK if you want the number for that place. I belive it was a toll free.
