I have a 99 F250 super duty with the V-10 and that's the wire I pulled and it worked. Maybe they changed something for 2000. I dunno.

 

He has the Triton V-8. Though it doesn't make sense I thought the computer in my diesel might read the information from that wire different. If it works on yours it should work on his. I know I pulled the right wire, maybe I didn't have the key on ACC. BRAIN GAS! Thanks for the help. Been waiting for 4 days on FORD-DIESEL.COM with no response.

Gasser's
I have question. As you can tell by my signature I own a PSD Super Duty ,but my question is about a 2000 Super Duty Gasser. A friend of mine just picked up his 2000 Gasser and wanted to turn the door/key dinger off so when he is working out of his truck he can listen to the radio with the door open. I fixed mine by pulling the pink and black pinned wired on the brown plug to the right of the steering wheel column under the dash. I got this info from the Ford-Diesel.Com site. It worked fine for my Diesel, I can open the door and listen to the radio and not have that dang dinger going off.The lights on part of the dinger and everything else works. I tried to do the smae thing to my gasser friends truck and it did not work. Can anyone here give me some help or advice. Just to let you know I tried to post this question at Ford-Diesel.com in the section titled General Questions Forum because the gas section has such a low use rate and was slapped and had post deleted. Any help for my Gasser friend would be appreciated. Thanks
