Question Hose coming off rear axle

Just had an add-a-leaf added to my truck today. I like the way it raised the rear a couple of inches, but when I got home I noticed a hose lose and touching the ground. I looked underneath the truck but could not find where this hose(cable) came from. It has a white plastic piece connected to the end of it. The white thing has what appears to be a nipple looking end and some sort of hook. The cable also has one of those metal clips half way down that usually attaches to something else whether it be a hose, etc.. the cable attaches to the rear axle into some sort of connector. The is also another hose connected to this that connects to the brakes I think. I am not sure if I am describing this adequately, but any help or replies would be appreciated.

I have not looked at my truck yet to confirm this but it sounds like the breather tube for the rear axle. The one end usually connnects to the axle at the same point the rear brake line splitter block connects, and the other end (with valve) should be mounted as high up as possible to keep it away from moisture.

I hope that is what it is. 99SD, if you get a chance to look at your truck please confrim this for me. Also note exactly where it is suppose to be mounted, right now I just clipped it to the small metal bar that runs close to the rear differential. Mounted parallel I guess. Thanks for your time and help

Exclamation

It is the differential breather tube. It comes through the brake line block mounted on the drivers side axle. It has what looks to be a white y in the end. The clip is metal and mounts on the inside of the frame, on the top, directly above the bump stop.

Question

4x4,

If you get a pic of your rig with the ProComp lift on, could you send it to me?

Thanks for the confirmation spaceace. Will be glad to send you a picture, if I can figure out how to scan it and e-mail it. If all else fails e-mail me your address and I'll mail you some.
