Shocks for F250SD?
I'm new to the board but have been reading awhile. Has anyone replaced the stock shock absorbers from an F250 SD CC 5.4. I was just looking to beef it up a bit. On my last 4 Fords I had Rancho 5000's with no lift. I called Rancho and they have told me that they only have the 9000 adjustable system for this model(no 5000's or new RSX). Edelbrock IAS Performers application sheet only shows F350SD,F350SD Diesel, and F250SD Diesel - no listing for F250 SD. It seems like these trucks have been out for quite awhile and I can't find anything to fit this this unless it is lifted 4,6 or more inches (Procomp kits). Any suggestions or time frames on the Rancho or Edelbrock units or any other brand would be appreciated. KV
I have got both Rancho 5000's and Procomp 9000s on mine. Yes I have a lift but that should't have anything to do with replacing the shocks. I know a few guys around Houston that run the rancho's with no lift and no problems. Bought all mine at 4wheelparts so if you have one near you I would just contact them.

I'm in San Antonio and I've got a 4WheeelPts close by. Thanks for the info. I don't want to lift mine yet, but I'm starting to accessorize. I don't get to Houston much, but I'm sure I'll recognize your truck if I see you.

Craig,
My opinion - save your $$$ and don't be stupid.
If you wanted a smooth ride, you should not have bought a GIANT 4X4. Since you opted for the 4X4 (ie and NOT a smooth ride), enjoy your truck!!

I have a 99 F-250SD CC 4x4 and just put on Bilsteins. It was a toss up with the IAS (yes they are available for this truck). The bilsteins are great for handling but are a little stiff on smooth roads. I am thinking about being really stupid and buying the IAS in an attempt to make the ride softer. Let me know what you decide.
