Diesel engine hum @ 2200 rpm

Diesel engine hum @ 2200 rpm
I have a '99 F250SD, 2,000 miles. I notice at about 2200 to 2300 rpm there is a loud hum made by the engine. Below that range, nothing, above that range it smooths out. It can be aggravating when cruising at those RPM's. Anyone else notice this?
