This am, I went to go to work, when I started my truck, I noticed a lot of white smoke coming out of the tail pipe, and it was idiling VERY, VERY roughly. I let it run for a few minutes. I called the dealer, who gave me Ford Roadside Assistance #. I was going to drive and drive it there. It had absolutlely NO POWER at all. It would barely go 3 mph. I managed to limp my baby back to my driveway. I am now waiting for a flatbed truck. My truck is an 04/04 6.0,TorqShift CC, SB, Lariat. I have had it since March 5, 2004.Up until now, it has been flawless!!! Any ideas what is going on with it? TIA for any replies.

 

It turned out to be the EGR valve!! Thank God it was something simple. But what would cause the EGR valve to get stuck? I got my truck back at lunch time, the dealer brought it over. I am a happy camper!

i just had the same problem with my egr valve 5500 miles on my 2004

i also had my auto transmission go two weeks ago.....i love my fords but i never had this much go in such a short time

does anyone know if these transmissions
have a defective track record
