Front Hitch

Glad I found this place. I have a 2003 F250, diesel and want to put a front hitch on it. Anybody have any good or bad advice or experiences they want to share. Where you got it? Places to stay away from? ect.... I pickedup a 26' travel trailer and need all the help I can get w/ moving the thing around in tight places. A good friend suggestsed a front hitch.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

I put a trailer hitch on my 01 Screw. I use it for backing up my trailer into tight spots just as you want to. Also use it with a bike rack on the front to haul my son's bike when we camp. Mine is a Hidden Hitch, but I think Reese also makes one. It just bolts to the frame, and on mine, the holes were already in place.
The only problem I have is the front hitch occasionally hits high curbs, and that can be quite a jolt. The lower end of the hitch is 6" from the ground. Make sure that you get a plastic plug. I had a whistling noise until I put in a plastic plug. Got it at Walmart for 3.99 cdn.

Good luck, you won't regret it.
