F250 Computer

I tried posting this in a different location but it didn't provoke any theories there. Let's try it here.

I let a friend test drive my new '04 F250 in trying to convince him not to get a Toyota.

After the ride, he sat in my driveway trying to figure out what all the switches and controls did. He flipped the switch back and forth to fog lights, interior lights, wipers, headlights, etc., etc.
He was trying to figure out how Ford sets things up as he's been familiar only with Chevy (gag-me-with-a-spoon) and Toyota.

Somehow, he managed to hit the sequence to reprogram my interior dome light. Now, it comes on for a 20 second delay when the ignition switch is turned off! (Door not opened yet.)
I pull up, stop, turn off engine, and light myself up inside the truck.

The dealer hasn't a clue on what to do to get back to normal.
It's not covered in the owners manual.

Anyone else had this problem or heard about it?
What can be done?

Does your truck have an alarm in it. I would check with them. My buddy had a problem were his head lights would not turn off unless he pulled the battery terminal off. It turned out to be part of the panic alarm. His wife had hit a sequence on the remote. An other freind of mine just changed when the truck locked the doors from when he put the truck in drive to when he hits 30 miles an hr. Give the alarm company a call. Let me know.

Are you sure it's not covered in the Owners Manual? I think it is.

I think the 02 does that. The 97 does for sure.

My 06 does the same thing. I turn off the truck and the lights come on inside. I will check my manual later on.

Check to see if your alarm was factory or thirdparty installed. May have to check with the allarm maker. As I said before check out the alarm and give thema call. I have had 6 alarms some were installed at the factory some were done at the dealer level by a third party. Good luck
