2000 Psd ?

Hi all,
My father is looking at picking up a 2000 250 psd w/6spd, 4x2. Any things that we should be looking for in terms of the truck, motor, tranny, etc? The truck has 61k on the odo.

Thanks for any help.

Well the motor is still under warranty so you dont really have to worry about much there.

I guess the usual stuff; Service records? Does it look taken care of? Any wrecks? Rust? brakes, belts, hoses in good shape? How about the tranny?

If its from a good dealership, they do a pretty good inspection and refresh so theres less worry, but that part of why you pay more at a dealer...

Can you take it, at your expense, to your own mechanic to go through it?

I sold a car once and the buyer had a guy from a company come with him who TOTALLY inspected the car (about an hour!) and went through his findings with me and the buyer prior to the sale. ~Luckily it was a good car.
Maybe you have a company like this in your area? I cant recall the name, sorry, but I think it cost him about $100 or so.
