F250 TT mirrors

I will be swapping out the regular mirrors on my F250 SD for the trailer towing ones and had a question. Will the newer TT mirrors w/the turn signals work on a 2000 model? Or does the newer model have a slightly different wiring harness to alllow for the turn signals?

Thanks!

Everything I have read indicates that the harness in the '03 model has additional wiring for the signals, as well as for the heat element.

The new 03s have a 10 wire plug and the older trucks have a 3 wire plug. Now there is someone at www.fordtruckworld.com that has a post about doing that exact swap on his truck in the SD forum. He has directions he wrote up he's emailing to people on how to make them work. According to hims its a very simple swap.
