V-10 Exhaust

I have used the search feature a few times and pulled up some info for V-10 exhausts but not much. What exhausts are you other V-10 owners putting on. Everything I have found seems to point to our 10's don't sound to good with aftermarket exhausts. I would like to have a bit more growl to it. So far it's disappointing that the 8's sound better.

Well get used to it, i have heard some real bad sounding v-10's. So i have decided to keep stock. I ran a thread on this about 2 months ago and got hardly any good news of a decent system. Plus you lose some of your low end torque.
Good luck

Personally, I likethe sound of the stock V10 over the stock 5.4 V8. It has much deeper rumble to it.

v10 exhaust idea

Mike Troyer was good enough to pass along this post to me so I thought I would pass it along to you.

The Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system is similarly the best exhaust system for these heavy trucks, they're the only company really doing proper flow engineering to prevent loss of torque at low rpms. The power gains on the V-10 from the exhaust system run right at 17-18 HP & 30 lbs./ft. of torque. The Magnaflow exhaust is also made of all aircraft-grade T-304 stainless steel, the bet quality 304 stainless than money can buy, literally. The Magnaflow exhaust system is not a "loud" system, it has a very distinctive & refined growl in the V-10's that is not loud or overbearing, and never "drones" inside the cabin, you'll love the sound as well as the power from it.

Thanks for the reply with Mike's post. All I am looking for is of course more flow and a lil bit of sound. Sounds like I will take a look at Magnaflow.

I have a Gibson Swept Side on my F150 w/ the 5.4L. It gives you a good boost of power and torque across the power band with just a very subtle addition of sound. It's also available in stainless steel.

I don't know much about the Magnacraft products, but I highly recommend the Gibson SS.
