Crashed the Expedition Yesterday....

I crashed the Expedition yesterday No one got hurt. The only thing damaged was the front bumper and the left fog light. Now I'm looking to buy a new front bumper. Who sells a front Lightning bumper kit for 98 expedition's? I need to find one quick or else I have to get the regular 98 front bumper. Or if you know a company that has a bumper that look's similar or better than the lightning bumper that would be great also. Thanks

there are several aftermarket companies that build 'Lightning' conversion packages. I dont know how their parts compair to OEM, but there are several people I have seen on the board that have used these parts and seem to be happy w/ them. Anyway, in Trucking magazine, there are a few places that have them. On page 248 of the Oct '02 issue there are some. The site to that place that sells them is-www.sporttrucking.com. I looked on their site and did not see the L pieces, but they are in the mag. You might also check www.stylinconcepts.com or www.streetbeatonline.com. You might also consider going w/ a OEM front bumper and valance from a 99+ X. Although I doesnt offer the aggressive apperance as the L front clip, I think they look great and would be alot easier to find (could be found at salvage yard) and also probally alot less expensive.

Sorry to here about your misfortune, but glad to here there were no injuries. Another place to try for a front bumper is Stillen Enterprises. I believe the web site is http://www.stillen.com/ Good luck with your project and post some pictures when you get it done.

Hey Mojado,

How badly was the front hit? You might want to consider changing over to a Navigator front end. It looks really trick on the F150's that I have seen done. You can get the bumper cover all painted and delivered just a little over $200.00 at www.bumpers.com. They are new blems and I have had two from them that have been excellent. The only thing you would have to do is get the hood and the fender molding. Just a thought to make it different than others Expeditions. If you do a search on here, you can probably find some info on the conversion. I think it is a pretty simple process.
