When I start my Exp it makes a strange tapping noise in the front.
The engine bay area.

For about 5mins then is goes away?

I have check all my fuilds and also my aftermarket exhaust everything is okay there.

What do you guys think it is ?

99Expy 5.4 only 27,000 miles.

 

Piston slap maybe? Now that the weather is getting colder it becomes more noticable. Its supposed to be harmless although Ford did replace engines of owners who complained while under warranty. Mine has done it since new. Worse in winter. I have 75K miles and it hasen't affected anything.
