OK I know the leave time is a little early but many of the guys going down there are racing and or showing thier trucks. I think it is going to be a great ride down there in the morning. Looks like only me and one other expedition need to get a couple more so we aren't stuck carring all the ice chests and extra passengers ;-)

We can make a day out of it and enjoy the show as well as see all the cool mods these guys have put on their trucks .

Went to tghe Chevy 500 this weekend in Ft Worth and had a great time, it was a great race did anyone else make it ??

 

I was there at the Chevy 500. Those carts are really fast. That was my first Indy race and I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to races this weekend as well. The meeting spot is in south Dallas at the Cracker Barrel at I35 and I20 right? 7:00 am?

 

Got luckey in that team Penske invited me. Got pretty good seats, pit/garage passes and front row parking. Really makes a difference when you can go where you want and can come and go easily.

I will not be able to make the event this weekend, as there is a major change to our network that is going on Saturday (moving the server room as well as having to redo our IP's). Will not be able to make it . Post the detail and for god's sakes take a digital camera! Post some pics of what you see!

L8RG8R glad you can make it yes it is on 35 just south of IH20 I think the next exit on the West (southbound) side of the highway. They are not planning on eating there they are leaving and heading to Ennis as close to 7 as the can.

The Chevy 500 was my first race other the drag racing as well and I just loved it . I thought the indy cars were a little bigger then they actually were. but it was good we also had good parking got out very easy and we were there early had a little tailgating and visiting the vendors. I will go to more races I heard the NASCAR brings about twice as many people there ?? have to think about that one. Both my sons are going with me Saturday and maybe my wife she is undecided as of yet.

 

Ohh and Boxter sorry you aren;t going to be able to make it but we will still do something soon. Any other time you need help with servers and such or get in a bind put me on your list of contacts and I will do the same. I work for beer !! :-) well don't tell my boss that he actually pays me sometimes with cash as well ...

 

You going to make it Saturday gator ? they said they are leaving the cracker barryl at 7:01 :-) bring lots of coffee ;-) I think there are going to be about 30 trucks ? have you been reading the posts on the other board ??

 

yep! I'll be there. My wife is also undecided at this point as well. However, I'll be there bright and early. Its going to be a fun day. I'll have my digital; camera with me. =)
