Rear Entertainment System

Do anyone know what brand Ford uses for there rear entertainment systems. Also does anybody know how much it is to buy from Ford.

you can get a better and larger screen from audiovox, and get your choice of VHS or DVD at an aftermarket shop or online for cheaper.
Ford claims 1200.00

I know the LCD screen is made by Audiovox. Not sure about the VCP but I'd bet it's also an Audiovox. $1200 sounds about right.

Rear Seat entert. sys

Visteon makes the Ford entertainment system. Aftermarket one's can be had for less, but won't be integrated with the Ford head unit.

what integration with the factory head unit?...
its a RF monulator....with 2 or 3 selelctable frequencies.
Mine's a factory 2001 system.

Integration

Greg,

I was talking about the remote panel on the center console and the dual play capabilities. Obiviously if you go aftermarket, there is no issue with integration/dual play because you can listen to whatever you like while the kids watch their shows.
