Vibration problem when I take off from a stop
I just bought a 99' Navigator. I just noticed a problem. When I take off from a stop I feel a slight shudder. Kinda feels like the torque converter. Is this a common problem? It's still under factory warranty, but I like to be informed before I deal with the dealer.
Thanks
Thanks

Could be the Tranny hasn't been serviced and is past due. I went about 32k before servicing mine (same tranny) but ddin't have any problems. Driving habits make the world of difference though.
If you bought it form a dealer, I'd question why it wasn't serviced if indeed that's the issue. That's part of the normal things a dealer would do, make sure it was current on PM. If you look at Edmunds or NADA, they list a Dealer Retail price that's higher than individual retail. Part of that reson is that a dealer would have the car in top shape to retail.
By the way, Welcome to the Boards!!

Mine too-
I bought my 2000 Expy, (Smack Brand New) in October 2000. As I backed into my driveway, I noticed a slight shudder, but it backed on up. It did it again, the next day- I took it to the dealership, and they told me something about the limited slip may be making it do that.
Since I could not duplicate the problem on flat land, I assumed they may have known what they were talking about- But, because my 1999 Supercab, and later my wife's 2001 SuperCrew never did this, with the same drive train (I assume) I wonder if I have some kind of tranny trouble.
22,253 trouble free (forward) miles later, it still does it, on occasion. Most recently on my return trip from Louisiana this past weekend.
I still haven't experienced it on flat land yet, only when backing up an incline, and never a shudder in drive.....
I don't like taking my car in for little stuff either, but if it's used, there could be a major underlying issue they didn't tell you about... (Maybe it go wrecked, or something.)
Is this Steven1642's Navi?! (Sorry Steve, I couldn't resist.)
Not flaming you, just a mild poke in the rib.
Good luck with that Z06.... (I'd take the coupe, but, that's me....)

To Coupe, or not to coupe..
I thought the Z06 was referred to as the Hardtop
The regular Vette's (With the big rear window and removeable top as the coupe; and the convertible, as, well, the convertible...?
http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette/index.htm
Yep, the original C5 is called the "Coupe".
The later introduced (And less attractive I might add) body style was called the Hardtop, supposedly lighter & faster than the coupe- but in the end, it was not (As tested by Motor Trend)
By definition, they're both coupe's, but by description, only the one with the removable top (My favorite) is called the coupe...
