No offense, but I wouldn't base a purchase of a new Expedition on the gas mileage. It won't be good, but then again, they aren't meant to be an economical vehicle.

Well said. . .IMO fuel ecomony (13 city - 19 highway) would rate as maybe the 23th critria you would consider when contemplating the purchase of a a $40k plus SUV.

BTW, if you are considering one of the smaller 'midsize' SUVs, none of them get out of the 'teens' either and they aren't much, if any cheaper to buy

i agree!!!
buy the X because you like it, not because of the mileage.
if you want the mileage, then get a honda odessey minivan.
i love my 01 and my 02 Xs.
then again i love my cars too.

Greg- Let's trade wallets!

A man after my own heart!

4-Cars?! 4 relatively new cars?!

I wanna be like that when I grown up!

Lexus- Nuff Said..
Altima- Man, those are really nice, and look like GS300's from the side, if properly equipped. (I like that 3.5SE)
Expeditions- Nuff Said.

I love cars, my problem is, I can't stay in one any time, before I get something else.

1991- Chevy Cavalier- Traded at 36,000 miles
1993- Honda Accord- Traded at 41,000 miles (Wife's car)
1994- Olds Cutlass Supreme SL Coupe- Traded at 37,000 miles
1997- Nissan Maxima SE- Traded at 25,000 miles
1997- Nissan Pathfinder- Traded at 31,000 miles
1999- Ford F-150 SuperCar, Flareside- Traded at 18,000 miles
2000- Nissan Altima- Traded at 17,000 miles

Currently- 2000 Ford Expedition XLT Sport (22,523 & running)
2001 Ford F-150 SuperCrew XLT (15,700 & running)

I love cars too- I'd be loving a bunch of them had I the pesos$$

BIG:
Hey, my wife made me sell the 02 Expy XLT after getting the IS300, so now we are down to 3.
I bought the IS300 for her, so she didnt have to drive the 01X around all the time, and she decided she likes the X better because of sitting up higher.
I got a heck of a deal on my 02 Alty, so now I swap back and forth between the Alty and the IS300.
Wished I could put the interior from the Lexus in the Alty and I would be really happy...
Oh well.
As far as $$, it helps when you pay off the house...
