What Face To Make???

Air Dam? Valance? Bumper Cover?? Stock? Aftermarket?? What should I consider in my expo conversion??? ( converting from 98 to 99+) I currently have the 2001 Grille & shell on the way along with the chrome bumper portion. Now all I need is the under skirt or spoiler or valance etc. I want fog lights and a really unique but not tacky style... I am going to paint the entire truck black to finish it off. I just need some opinions on bumper enhancements thanks~

bone stock

I think bone the stock foglights looks the sexiest! You must try to avoid making a "TACO WAGON" that belongs on the south side of philedelphia! (no offence to all the people from philly out there, that is where I was born!)

Did you look at the PIAA airdam

I have one of these on my 01 2wd Screw, and to quote another post, it does not look like a Taco Wagon.

Just a thought, and then you can get 2 sets of lights for it.
I have yet to see another one in the Chicago metro area, so it is a reairly seen item so far.

The lights that fit it are the 510 in the center, and the 520 in the outside.

Just a thought

Actually I looked at those, and I did'nt like the size of the lights, they were in my opinion 2 big. Not to mention I may not use them that often I do not want 2 make sure a large/pricey choice...(the PIAA bulbs/ lights are expensive)

I've seen some airdams that look like the lightning which only require a bolt on application, and no rewiring, if anyone knows of where they are, or who manufactures them please drop a post.

Street Scene Equipment offers a Lightning "look alike" bolt on LOWER valance. It is not a bumper cover. Also, Wings West has a Harley "look alike" lower valance, same setup. I believe they both have 4" openings for lights. Both a real clean look, but you need the 99+ bumper in order to fit.

Cool,
I already have the 99+ front end (bumper, bumper cover etc...) all I need 2 finish it off would be the valance/ air dam. You say that the Wings West makes one? I did not see one on their site, could you direct me to where it should be? thanks again,,,

Oh by the way, would you happen to have a link to these items???

keep me honest, but I believe the 99 bumber is the same as the 2000 (which I have). Many are only listed as 2001 but will fit earlier.

Thanks... I see that both are what I am looking for. I have seen the cover on the green f-150, infact stillen makes one as well, and they are not that far from me. But there is something about that Harley Lookalike....It says that it retails for $449!! The actual one is $650!!! I wonder if I can ****** one for a bit less. Also it seems that it's a whole bumper cover and not just the valance....

I believe Stillen just re-sells the Street Scene valance.

Truck Performance is also a re-seller of Wings West. They could get the Rhino if they call. I know the Rhino says bumper cover, but it is identical to the OEM installation. Might wanna call.

If you want a OEM Harley valance call Teresa Valley @ Southwest Ford 800-256-7933. I believe it is around the same price, it comes pre painted black and includes the billet grill.

GREAT NEWS!!!!

I went to Stillen on Saturday, and purchased the lighting valance....Even though theirs is called the "Storm" it looks almost identical.

I simply stripped the front end of my expo, and placed all my new parts on there. It actually took a few hours and was'nt that difficult, especially doing it alone. The only thing that took the most time was getting the valance to fit just right. Being that it's made from Urethane it is very mallable... all I need not are fog lights, and a new paint job (the valance came in a sort of primed black color...does;nt look bad at all)

Does anyone know what size fog lights the Navigator as well as the Lightning take??
