Installing LCD in Expy Headrests

Has anybody on this list ever installed LCD monitors into their headrests? I'm looking to do that and don't want to pay a custom installer. Other than making cuts into the headrest, it looks fairly easy.

Most universal mount instructions talk about removing the headrest and the mounting bracket is secured to the posts. Don't know what's inside an Expy headrest and what it can be secured to.

Any advice, input, help, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

take your headrests and LCD to a seamstress shop. they can cut the hole and for you and you can slap it in yourself..

thats what most shops do anyway..

also dont get 7" widescreens..

i had 4 of them to go in my headrest and well the biggest it will hold is a 6.5 and it will barely do that..

6" is your best bet....

piece of cake...

There is a metal plate in the headrest that you mount the screen/housing to. You will need to cut away some foam, but it's pretty straight forward. If you have no fears of cutting the initial hole, you won't have any problems.

One thing, make sure that you get the screen as far up on the headrest as you can. I have seen some Expys with the screens mounted so to low for any adult to see without slouching in the seat.
