i have a 4.2 litre. expy. 2x4. I have all the oil out of mu engine and am trying to get the filter of. How the He!! do you get it off? I can not get it.it's a 2000 expy by the way. Please help fast.

 

nevermind. i figured it out after bout an hour. btw it's a 4.6 ont 4.2 my f150 has the 4.2

 

Please tell us, what did you use or how did you finally get it off?

 

Hey! It's SIMPLE, just follow these easy steps!

Step #1: Take English class, It's EMERGENCY!
Step #2: Grasp oil filter
Step #3: Turn filter COUNTER-clockwise
Step #4: Remove oil filter and discard

Congrats! your done!

 

My thoughts exactly!
But you forgot the line about watch out for your knuckles on the sharp edges of the little oil diverter pan (there's one on my 01, that will rip your fingers to shreds!)

thats what i love about mine!!!!!

all i do is turn on the suspension. lift it up about 6 inches, crawl up under the SOB and just behind the driver side fog lights is the oil filer. no reaching up into the engine for me...

hehehe.
i hate having to change my moms on her expy though.
they are a bi$$h to get to.
