Question Brake Pads

guys,

Need new brake pads for the front. Anyone have any suggestions? As is everyone else, I'm looking for the following
(in order of priority)

1. Max braking power without heat fade
2. stopping in the rain
3. low brake dust

Has anyone used ebc-brakes.com? They were highly rated in a car magazine that I saw.

Thanks in advance.

Rich

I installed the Performance Friction front pads(from AutoZone) on my 98 EB a few months ago, and they have not been any better than the stock pads. (I believe I should have turned the rotors to remove any glazing from the old pads, yet the new ones have done a nice job of removing any grooves or glazing, it appears.) With over 10K miles on them, I still notice some fade, and the brakes in general, seem mushy. I would be very interested in what others are running on the front and rear.

Thank you,

Bernie

I installed the same performance pads from AutoZone too. I have noticed the same mushy pedal too. Braking is still good however. The front's are the only ones I have replaced so far due to some long hauls towing a full trailer through the Appalachain Mountains. But I haven't felt the same sort of brake fade that the stock pads had when they got really hot.

Brake Pad

About 3 weeks ago put VGX pads on my '98 and so far have been happy with them. Brake well and little to no dust. The pads I had on there before were ruining my wheels due to all the dust and crud they were showering them with. They are a little more expensive but worth it.

Brake Pad

I found them locally here in Austin at an Auto Parts store called Vans. I paid $70.00. Best thing to do is call around.
