JUST SAW THAT I HAD SMAll oil LEAK UNDER MY 2002 EXPEDITION WITH 9000 MILES ON IT...TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY ARE GOING TO PULL THE TRANMISSION ON IT MONDAY TO SEE IF ITS COMING FROM THE REAR MAIN SEAL??THEY ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THE "OIL SENDING UNIT",BECAUSE MY OIL GAUGE WASN'T OPERATING CORRECTLY ON COLD MORNING.. SHOWING '0' OIL PRESSURE UNTIL IT WARMED UP??? THIS IS MY FIRST FORD PRODUCT AND THIS REALLY HACKS ME OFF BAD....THE ONLY THING I EVER OWNED THAT LEAK WAS A 76 CHEVY AND I SOLD IT>>>

 

why would they need to pull the tranny out? isnt the plug visible to the eye from under the truck. is the oil reservoir behind the tranny or something? your truck just may have a hiccup in it with the oil thing. on our Expy we had bad shocks in the back and this was our first ford too. (cept for my mom's pinto from college) i wouldn't worry too much until it happens a 3rd time.
