Smile First time Expy owner

I just bought a 1998 Expedition from a local dealer, 40,000 miles
and in great shape. I know very little about the Expeditions, anything special I should know, recalls, safety items, etc... ????

Cool Relax!

The wife has a 98 Expy (XLT, 2WD, Leather, 4.6). No problems with it except fading plastic trim around the rear windows. Hers has 52K miles, and is going strong. Recently we had a small problem with it because I must have forgotten to change the fuel filter along the way. Anyway, I slapped a new on there, and she is back to running like a champ.

Regards,

Big Daddy

Welcome Silas,

You will find more on this board than you ever care to know about your X. It is daily routine for me to check the boards, very addicting. I hope you enjoy your X.

Congrat's and welcome to the boards.

You can go to the TSB and Recalls link here on the site from the links on the left. Toggle between TSB's and recalls in the top of the window. Search for your year, model etc. There's a few things but you'l see a lot of entries for TSB's. Looks like there are a lot of updates that are created as new TSB's.

Enjoy the Expy!
