My semi-Lightning Expy (pics)

I finally installed my Lightning bumper, added some projector headlights, Navi taillights and some Trenz emblems. Here are some pics:

Hey was there a difference in ride quality after the 18's? How about the 22's?

Did you relocate your backup lights or just do away with them all together.

Wink very nice

nice looking truck! How much work was involved in putting on the Lightning front end? Any idea what the rough cost of the parts are and what is needed. I've been thinking of doing the same.

Thanks!!

Hey DR.

Very nice. You have one of the nicest EXPY on this FORUM.
How are those APC headlights projectors ? I was going to
get them, but I have heard bad things about them with
the quality and fit. I also heard you dont have as much lighting as with stock headlights, also they blow out quickly.

I am looking to the get the Sylvania Xenarc HID.

The only thing I do not like are those's rear tailights.

I prefer the Euro Altezza.

The bumper was a very nice addition.

Thanks for the comments!

mike.qu,
As far as the lightning front end, the parts needed depends on the year Expy you have. I had a 98 which required me to get A LOT of parts. If you have a 99+, it isn't all that bad. I got my parts from a friend at Ford so I got a good discount. Normally, all the parts I used would probably run about $1100-1200. Then you need to paint it (another $250) and install it. I did the install myself and it was a pain! I also purchased some billet grilles (another $300) and installed those myself. So, if you have a 98 Expy and have someone else install everything, the price would come out to over $2000!! A lot of money, but a big difference

BIGREDEXPY,
The projectors fit fine. However, the quality could be a little better. The material is kind of cheap in my opinion. The light output has also diminished a little. The light is more concentrated (but not as bright) and not as dispersed and the stocks. The lightning fog lights put out a good amount of light so I usually drive with them on anyway. However, I am planning on converting these to HIDs in the near future. My friend converted his 2001 lightning headlights to HIDs and they are absolutely amazing! The blow away all BMWs, Lexus', and Mercedes. This will be my next mod following my stereo upgrade.
