Strange Question

I have a 98 Expy, and I LOVE the look of the 99-0? Expeditions, now I am wondering if I get the front bumper from one would it fit correctly?

What's up 98_Expedition?!

Unfortunately, you can't just mount the 99 bumper onto our 98 Expeditions. You need to also get some brackets and other stuff to go along with it. I am currently converting my 98 front and I can show you later when we hook up so that you can see how it turned out. Late.

drcarrillo, I'm new here, and about to purchase a '97 EB Expy with 4wd and LLS all the way around. Noticed in your profile you lowered yours 1.5". I'd like to know how you did this as I'd like to do the same. Am purchasing from a relative and am planning my mods in advance, thanks to this board.

Welcome aboard FCB!

I didn't do the lowering myself. A company that has already gone out of business did it for me. However, I think they turned down the torsions bars in front and adjusted the height sensors of the air bags in the rear. I think this is the most lowering you can do on a 4wd with the 4 corner LLS. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Robert. Definitely sounds like something a shop would have to do. There should be some place here in the Houston area that can do the airbag adjustment.

Hey FCB,

It's really easy to lower the Expi-Navi 4wd a couple inches. All you need to do is crank your torsion bars down as far as you want and then lower the sensor in the rear all the way down (or wherever you want). I disconnected my front sensor completely to get it a little lower (but after about 5 minutes of driving the check suspension light will come on. This won't hurt anythong, but it's kind of annoying). Make sure that after you lower it, that you take it to your line up shop and get an alignment. Good luck.

Navi Man,

How many inches were you able to lower your Nav? Do you by any chance have any pics of your ride? Do you drive with the air suspension off or did you just disconnect the front while the rear still adjusts? Thanks in advance.

i got on here to try and figure out how i can lower the front end.

how do you disconnect the front sensors?

i was told you could adjust these as well but i cant seem to remount the sensor anywhere.

could you please tell me how to disconnect the front and how far does it drop it?
