Hey Ian

What's your gas mileage like? I have hear that you lose with 4.10 gears vs 3.73. Is this true ?

Hi BigRed;

I didn't notice any difference in fuel economy but then I didn't do a scientific before and after measurement either (I should have reset my trip computer at least but didn't think of it at the time). If there is a difference, it isn't big enough to worry about.

The biggest difference is in the driving - the 3.55's were awful!

4.10 gears & mileage

When we went from 3.55 to 4.10, our mileage actually increased. Sounds crazy, but when going up any hill with the 3.55s, the tranny would downshift and the engine would rev up to 3000+ rpms. Now, with the 4.10s, we cruise up the hills in OD. Made a world of difference in performance too.
