Engine dress up parts/availability

Thumbing through many Sportruck mags, I've noticed there is nothing
available to dress up our Ford engine bays with the exception of blowers
and air intake kits. I've already installed the Airforce One and am pleased
with its quality and appearance but would like to continue with similar
additions to my engine bay.

Do any of you know of a source of billet, chrome or graphite pieces similar to
what is available for chevy owners. I would be interested in upgrading my
valve covers, black plastic dome on top of engine, plastic cover on top of
radiator etc.

Thanks in advance.

Hi John_2KX,

You hit the nail on the head, there's little to nothing along those lines. In fact, we are working with a company is working on trick valve covers and other dress-up pieces for these vehicles. It's going to take some time of course, as this is a new venture, but bit by bit, we hope to have those types of parts for these Ford trucks that can so easily be had for the GM trucks, as you so rightly pointed out.

Best of luck with your truck!

Mike,

Thanks for the reply. Guess I'll just continue to
"clean" my engine bay until such parts are available.

You mentioned valve covers.......I saw a good looking set of graphite covers on a 55-57 T-bird that had a 5.4 Triton engine also equipped with Holly supercharger in Charlotte, N.C. a few months ago. That was a sweet setup and had me playing pocket pool quite a while.

I'm sure you will keep us posted once any of these parts become available. Once again, thanks.

JT

P.S. Love that chip!!!!!

Hi John,

Ahh, so you actually saw someone with a set of graphite cam covers (what we would call rocker arm covers, or valve covers, on an OHV motor) on that T-bird conversion, eh? I'll bet that looked slick! I'd love to find where they had them made, as it's a small fortune to have the fab done. Oh well......

As soon as any of this is ready, we'll be letting everyone know!
