crack oil adapter

crack oil adapter

I had a cold start problem with oil switch showing no oil pressure tell it warmed up so i had oil switch replaced and now i have a leak by the switch and now i am told that my oil adapter is crack.now it had no leaks tell they put in the switch.

Take it back to the shop that did the work.

This is not an issue that anyone here can help you with.

I second that, go back and complain to whoever did the repair.
Try to do it nicely at first.

It seems like they cracked it right?

As per your PM, I just looked at a couple of videos on replacing the sending switch.
Looks like an easy job just unscrew the old one and put the new one in.

I can't find anything on the adapter replacement, but I would think it is just as easy?

I wonder if it is cracked or maybe they didn't add any Teflon tape to the new one's threads and that is why it is leaking?

You say over $700 bucks for them to replace the adapter? And the switch was not leaking till after they installed the new switch?
What kind of shop is this? Dealer shop or other?

I think you would have been better off unscrewing the old one and putting the new one in yourself, but I realize everyone can't.

Curious, How much did they charge to put the new switch in?
