p0171, p0300, p0305 Out of money and patience

2005 expedition with 98,000
Symptoms: No horsepower, rough idle when warm, it seems to lose power the warmer it gets but it still feels like it has 100hp cold and 50hp warm, can barely go up hill, if you stay over 2,000 rpm for too long the cel will flash and then I'm really screwed. I get weird sounds at higher rpms I think the sound is detonation. I think there is a very small exhaust leak, its hard to tell.
Codes: p0171, p0305, p0300
The things I have done: I first started by changing the no.5 plug and cop, the ones I pulled off were newer. Still had the codes. I changed the no. 5 injector. Still had the codes. I cleaned the MAF, changed the fuel filter, and changed all 8 plugs and coil packs. Still had the codes. I moved coil packs around with no results. I also sprayed 2 cans of starting fluid around the motor.
I have a code scanner that tells me things I don't fully understand.
Calculated load value 36%
stft b1 at idle -3.9%
stft b1at 2,000 rpm 10%
ltft b1 at idle 15%
ltft b1 at 2,000 rpm 25%
bank 2 looks normal
ignition timing advance for #1 18.5 degrees
fuel pressure to rail 39psi
converter temp at idle 800 degrees
converter temp at 2,000 rpm 1400 degrees
It sounds like the injectors are working, I'm not fully sure they are though. It just seems like its starving for fuel. I'm out of ideas and money. I've read 100's of other posts too. I'm going to unbolt the cat's right now to try that. I will be accepting all suggestions from anything with a pulse, including pets. After I try the cat's I'm gonna start testing all the cop's, plugs, and injectors. I don't even know how to test those things. Oh, and I did take it to the dealership, they wanted to throw parts at it, I can do that. Thanks for your time fellow gearheads! And when I have a solution I will post it.

Which engine? If it's 5.4 3 valve, they had bad injectors, Ford will fix it up to 11 years or 120k miles, they will replace injectors that are faulty and repair collateral damage, including failed cats. Refer them to Ford Customer Satisfaction Program 07M08. Take it in and have a diagnosis done, if the injectors are good you pay them for the diag time, if one or more are bad shove the letter in their face and it shouldn't cost you a cent.

Those converter temps look awful high. I'd almost bet on clogged cats.

Fixed! Thanks for your response glc, It is the 5.4 3valve motor. I took it to a Ford dealership last week and asked for it to be diagnosed. The service manager called me and gave me the same list of codes that I gave them. They said they don't know exactly what it is and wanted to start throwing parts at it. I asked if they tested the injectors and converters, he told me they did. I felt like I was being lied to, that place was not my normal dealership, it was just close to my house. I'm still a little mad about that situation. Anyways, you are correct glc, I unbolted my converters and it had twice the power. I guess i'll be ordering something, i'll check the forum for converter suggestions. My mind is blown that clogged cats can throw so many different codes. I will be taking it to a different dealer to check the injectors, I might just order all new ones to save a future headache. Thanks again.

If a leaky injector caused the clogged cats, Ford should replace them. Let them replace any bad injectors, then pay them to replace the rest of them.

Don't mean to hi-jack but u guys are discussing a concern I have and asked about in thread "Expy injector".
Considering 2005, XLT, 5.4, 113,000 miles, $9,400. Ford dealer told me the new injectors on their shelf are updated and don't leak like the problem ones. If I buy this and it runs fine can I just buy injectors from the local autoparts store as a precaution or do I need the ones off the dealer shelf to prevent any issues?

I would order Motorcraft injectors online. $36.79 plus shipping from rockauto.com, you may be able to find them cheaper. I wouldn't buy aftermarket.

MOTORCRAFT Part # CM5138 5C3Z9F593DC
