I am looking at a 2012 Expedition Limited 4x4 with 27,000 miles on it.
It has 275 65 R18 Pirelli Scorpion tires on it and after a little online research tonight I believe I was able to find the original window sticker.
The winder sticker indicates that this vehicle has the Optional Equipment of 20" polished aluminum wheels (at a cost of $1,990).
My question is what, if any, red flags does it raise if the truck is now sitting on the above referenced 18" wheels?

All it means is somebody had the good sense to remove the nasty 20" rims and put on something more reasonable

 

Also means that if the current tires are a different height from the original, the speedo and ode meter are inaccurate, unless the computer was reprogrammed.

 

Should be fine.
