Question Speedometer Help

I have a 97 Expedition with 90 thousand miles on it. My speedometer stop working last week. It sticks at 35 mph or close to it any time the vehicle is put in reverse or drive. The cruise control works fine, I replaced the VSS on the transfer case but it did not affect it. If you have seen this problem or have some ideas on a fix let me know.

There is a TSB on Speedo Problems

There is a TSB on problems with the VSS drive. The fix is to replace the driving gear in the transfer case. With 90k, I doubt Ford will warranty it, though.

Good Luck,

Ian
