Fuel pump going out?

So after some searching, it appears my fuel pump may be dieing, it's been taking more cranks in the morning to start then normal. (Say normal was 2 seconds, now it's like 10). But if I turn the key to run for a few seconds, then start, it's normal again.

So what others say is it's the fuel pump (just replace the filter about a year ago).

They also say it's a $700-1,000 job at a dealer/mechanic.

So I go to Rock auto and there are pumps starting at $20 to $200, Oreiley has from $90 to $500!

I didn't think there would be such variety & confusion.

Which pump do I need to get, I can go with local stores, rock auto, amazon, etc.

It's a 2000 5.4 2WD, originally has the rear air suspension; but is now springs.

Thanks for any help, direction (And instructions?)
