A close friend of mine has a 2011 Expedition with the heavy tow package but it is not equipped with a brake controller. I just installed the Ford factory brake controller in my 2011 F150, will the same one work in his truck? It has the 4/7 pin connectors out back.

 

Don't know for sure but I do know starting this year (2013) the integrated brake controller comes standard on Expeditions with the HD towing option. I believe the adjustment is displayed in the message center on the dash cluster and a PCM reflash may be required to make the unit functional on Expy's not factory equipped with it.
