My mom has a 2000 expedition XLT with the 4.6 V8. The rear driver door for the most part never unlocks. You have to unlock it by hand, very rarely it will unlock. And both the front and rear passenger sides are starting to do not unlock sometimes. The rear door is also starting to do it. You have to jiggle the key to open it. This has been happening for like 6 years. Today it has finally pissed me off!! Anybody dealt with this? Thanks for the help.

 

I've started replacing the lock actuators.

I mean they are 13 yrs old now...

 

yeah you'll have to replace that due to age, otherwise I would have thought they were jammed by something. Maybe you can get a new truck from Carmenita Ford Trucks they have a lot in stock.

 

Oh ok. I appreciate the feedback guys. Since it's my moms truck and she's talking about selling it, I may hold off. If she keeps it I'll be replacing them. Thanks again
