Im new on here, and I know the age old questions about engines swaps and how they have been asked a blue-million times, but mine is a little different...I think. I looked all over before I asked, so please be gentle. I have a simple....atleast I hope its a simple, question. I have a 99 Navigator with a 5.4 SOHC, not the 'Intech' engine. The motor blew....With that said, I was wondering if a 99 5.4 DOHC will work(intech motor from the same year). I know that it will bolt up, but what will i have to do about the engines computer or wiring harness? Transmission and electronics? I think its just a drop in, right? No? Since its going from one Navi to another, will the wiring be 'plug and play' so-to-speak?
